This 400 page book contains more than 600 full-colour photographs, illustrations and maps. Bound as hardcover with jacket and slipcase, printed in two sizes.
My role as art director included:
- initial design concept for internal pages
- setting up InDesign Templates
- briefing multiple designers to layout the internal pages and cover
- briefing cartographer and picture researcher
- reviewing all pages and cover with editorial manager
- providing feedback to designers, cartographer and picture researcher
- managing junior designer
- pre-press image checking
- proof checking
